October Favorites 🍁

Hello all! I hope your October was wonderful. Mine was very busy and filled with many hectic midterms. But I am here to share a few favorites I had time to enjoy this month.  1) I have two shows that I am obsessed with. I won't give anything away within the shows but I'll just give you a quick response to how I feel about them. The first is Once Upon a Time. This season they are doing a Frozen theme. I do like it but I'm not sure if it is my favorite season so far. The next show is Walking Dead. After each season I am on my toes waiting for the next season to come on. The first episode of this season was absolutely perfect.  It was suspenseful and had a bit of happiness to it as well. The episodes after it have not disappointed me eaither. This season is so great. I can barley wait till this Sunday to see what happens next! 2) For music I have been in love with the new Hozier album. It's a bit of blues, rock, and alternative. It's the perfect music to walk to on ...

Song of the Week

I have not been able to keep up with blogging because I just started my sophomore year of college this week. The weeks prior were just hectic. But I am back! My song of the week is La La Latch from Pentatonix. They are one of my most favorite groups, they are incredibly talented and amazing. I had the chance to meet them and I actually got a picture with Scott! I was so close with Mitch but... let's just say some people get a little emotional around celebrities. Any who this song is great, it's there own rendition of latch and naughty boy. PTX is an a capella group that has taken a capella to the next level. If you get a chance check them out! There new album is not out yet, only two songs from the album are out which is La La Latch and a cover of the song problem by Ariana Grande.  If you want to hear more of their music they do have other albums. My personal favorite song of theirs is Daft Punk, which is probably their most popualr. I hope everyone has a lovely week, keep sm...

Healthy Snacks- pumpkin - n - spice granola bars

Image
I was looking for some new granola bars to try out for college and these pumpkin - n - spice bars are really good! They are organic and have pumpkin seeds, flaxseeds, and granola. They are chewy which is great, I don't think they would have been as good if they were crunchy. There is 6 in the box, which doesn't seem like much but they are actually pretty big and filling. I almost forgot to mention they are NON-GMO (not genetically modified organisms). So if your looking for a new healthy snack to try- and if you love pumpkin flavored things- definitely try these out.

Artist of the Month

With much debate and narrowing it down to only 2 artists I have decided that my artist of the month is.... Troye Sivan! He just recently released his EP Trxye on August 15th. I have to say I love every single song. Though 5 songs may not seem like much I think it's rare when you can like every single song on an album and not have to press skip to go to the next. I also feel like it's rare (especially for me) to not have a favorite song off of an album. I honestly could not choose which song I like the most, they are all fantastic. The genre is pop but it also has an alternative kind of feel to it, at least I think so. Many of the songs are at a slower pace but I don't see it making anyone sad listening to it. I also feel like I can make many connections with the music, which I believe is so important. So what are you doing just sitting there?!?! Go and listen to this awesome EP by Troye Sivan! You will not regret it ;) If you were curious about my 2nd choice it was Arctic ...

Song of the Week

My song of the week will definitely have to be "dressed in black" by sia. I just love her entire album but right now this one is my favorite. I feel like I can connect with a lot of the lyrics at times. The song is so rhythmic I just feel you could passionately dance to it... and I can't even dance! Sia is a great artist and-as I do with every artist I bring up- I suggest you give her music a chance and listen to her new album 1000 Forms of Fear.

Song of the Week

I have been so busy this week with work and getting ready for six flags tomorrow that I nearly forgot to post my song of the week! This week a song I have been listening to non stop is Happy Little Pill by Troye Sivan. I love everything about the song, I also love Troye Sivan. It is the first song from his EP TRXYE that was released, the rest of the EP will be released August 15th (8/15/14). I love the pace of the song and it's really catchy, so it's easy to get stuck in you're head. I really hope everyone will check Troye out because he has worked really hard on everything, and I feel like he really deserves to be recognized by more people.

Song of the Week

It's a little late but I am going to post my song of the week because I was just on vacation. My song of the week is Laughter Lines by Bastille. This is one of my favorite songs on the whole album. It has the best intro, it sounds like alien music. Thats the only way i can think of how to describe it. I also really love Bastille, I think they are such a creative band. This song is just beautiful and perfect. It just makes me think of the future and the love I hope to have with someone. I would say it's in my top 10 favorite songs. If you haven't heard it I would really recommend listening to it :)

Artist of the Month!

This month I have been OBSESSED with listening to the artist Wet. I love every single song from the EP album that's out. My favortie song from the album may be Don't Wanna Be Your Girl, but I really just love all of the songs. I found the song on spotify randomly and loved all of the other songs as well. I would recommend listening to any of the songs. I like to listen to them before bed because the music is calm and relaxing.

Pastel Nails

Image
Pastels are my favorite colors, especially pink. I also really love doing my nails, and recently I found some polish that will definitely be an all time favorite. Right now Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear has limited edition pastel nail colors! I wanted to buy all of them so badly but for now I picked out two. They are some of the best colors I have ever owned, and I have a loooot of polish. The first is a yellow called Teeny Bikini. This is the first yellow that shows up really well. I used only two coats and its so pretty. Even with one coat it still looked nice and it went on smoothly. The second is a pink called You're Crabby. The color reminds me of a rose. I think it's really unique, I've never had a color like it before. There are many other pastels and I'm sure I will get them before they disappear.

Song of the Week

I love music, but who doesnt? I listen to pretty much anything. I'm not picky about music and I love being introduced to new songs and artists. My song of the week was a little hard to pick because I've had so many I loved this week! But I made up my mind and I'd say my song of the week is Bridges by Broods. I've been listening to it non stop for nearly a month. It's genre is indie pop but I feel that it could also fit into alternative. I love listening to it in the car because its upbeat and I feel like I can dance to it ♡

Must Have- Portable Chargers

Image
These portable chargers are really awesome! I got them both at rue 21. The black one was about $15 and the pink was $5. When I went to summerfest I knew I'd be taking a lot of pictures and videos so my battery would die before the end of the night. So I bought these and I was so happy I did! They are seriously life savers especially when you know you'll be using your phone a lot :)

Healthy Snacks- Passion Fruit Yoplait Yogurt

Image
I wish this flavor wasn't limited edition! It is so tangy and sweet, but just the right amount of both ♡ If you can get your hands on this before its gone I highly recommend it!
